G'day Developers!
Featuring our very own Brooke Rooney, the SSW TV team created a video about Lync 2013 to
showcase how well it works, both as a software 'phone',
and as an instant messaging system. The video also shows how Lync 2013 can integrate with a
physical office phone system.

"Native or Nurtured?" - Paul Usher
More and more, developers are being asked to create applications that provide a unified user
experience across multiple platforms and devices. Many developers are at a cross-roads. Do they
learn new languages and build native? Do they design web apps? Or is hybrid the way to go?
In this talk, Paul will explore what it really means to create a visually stunning, interactive
multi-channel application. He’ll demonstrate the DevExpress DXTREME toolset and show how they allow
developers to create striking, unified digital experiences across platforms and devices from Windows
8 to the iPad and Android.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Paul Usher is a Technical Evangelist at DevExpress. DevExpress technologies help software developers
build high-performance business solutions, see complex software with greater clarity, increase

time.
Prior to joining DevExpress, Paul ran (and still owns) an independent software development company
